I just wrote a review on Amazon (RosaSharon.) I am a little riled up about the ridiculous comments some reviewers made. After I sent my review I thought I should have mentioned David and Bathsheba (sex in the Bible) but then again, I didn’t want to start a flame war, and nothing can start one more than reviews and comments about Religion, and I don’t have it in me to defend myself or Christianity.

I loved the story. You write beautifully. The only parts I could have liked left out were the places where Sunny’s newspaper column were written out. I kinda skimmed those, but I didn’t mention that in my review. I hope you approve of my Review. My best wishes and prayers for your continued success in your writing career. Thanks for the great review, Karen! Sunny’s newspaper columns in Unto These Hills served a purpose; they filled in the atmosphere in which Sunny was living, and the changes taking place all around her. As for the unkind Christian reviews, I just have to look over them. I wish some reviewers would go ahead and rebut them and let them know that Song of Solomon verses are much more graphic than anything I write. I do not write religious books, but I am a Christian writer who writes Inspirational stories. The difference is publishing guidelines. I write to appeal to a larger audience than just Christians and hopefully the stories will touch more hearts that really need touching. Thanks again for the good review and your kind words of encouragement!
      Hugs,
      Emily Sue
